A soundtrack for art viewing at the Pulitzer
The click-clack of far off heels, the muted whir of humidifiers and the occasional "hmmph" are the typical score of art museums, where silence is usually encouraged, if not directly requested.

But not tonight at the Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts, when it will feature a more deliberate soundtrack for art enthusiasts. In conjunction with independent radio station 88.1 KDHX, the Pulitzer will offer a musical accompaniment to its exhibit "In the Still Epiphany"
Soundwaves events present viewers and listeners with a unique musical theme, emphasizing and highlighting different pieces of artwork. One D.J. spun in the presence of Buddhist art, drawing a connection between electronica music and the Buddhist tradition. Former KDHX DJ Grace Woodard will present in the midst of a selection of works curated by Gedi Sibony from Emily Rauh Pulitzer and Joseph Pulitzer's collection.
Also this weekend, the Old Crow Medicine Show brings old-timey bluegrass to the Pageant while James Taylor breaks hearts and puts them back together at the Fox, and the Zoo continues its successful "Boogie in the Jungle" series.
