Della Reese brings her powerful range to the Sheldon
Della Reese is, simply put, accomplished. The actor, former talk-show hostess, Emmy nominee and ordained minister will bring her original talent to St. Louis this weekend — making music.

The 81-year-old Reese has been active in music since 1953, when she signed her first contract with Jubilee Records. She would go on to become a powerhouse in the music industry, pumping out hits such as "And That Reminds Me" and three Grammy nods for best album.
Reese's music ranges from classic '50s and early '60s pop fare, complete with backing strings, to gospel, boosted by her career on television drama "Touched By An Angel." Through all of her tracks, her deep, powerhouse voice takes the wheel.
Also this weekend, local jazz talent Javier Mendoza plays an Augusta Missouri winery, the St. Louis Blues Society hosts a musical brunch and Rock University presents its second-annual showcase of St. Louis rock and roll.
