The Beacon and various partners are using "Dreamgirls" and Jennifer Holliday's appearance at the Muny as a bouncing-off point to dig into some stories and conversations important to many communities. The project, "7 Nights in July," will produce a series of videos, photography and articles over the next few weeks that focus on topics connected to but not exclusive to the show. These include how theater touches youth, nontraditional casting, the history of the Muny and more.
